INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN THINKING ? interactive workshop
Design thinking is a tool to think about INNOVATIVE solving problems for people/USERS.
Design Thinking is being used by a variety of professionals today to create user-centered outcomes for any application development, business process design. Design Thinking provides a structured way to identify user needs and wants, prioritize efforts based on highest impact, and incorporate user feedback as well as team reflection.
PROGRAM BENEFITS
This workshop will introduce students to the fundamental concept of Design Thinking.
? Attendees will learn about Design Thinking and that design is the purpose, planning, and intent behind an action, fact, or material object.
? Attendees will understand how emotions and intent are part of solving problems.
? The activity will help students experience the Design Thinking process.
Why is this Topic Important?
? Working in teams toward solving problems, respecting others? ideas and participating in a workshop as a team will be valuable skills long term.
? Understanding the process of Design Thinking will give participants tools to use in approaching problems, brainstorming and designing solutions with a focus on the end user.
? Discovering the tools by using them you make your own.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The major part will be spent on hands-on work on one case using the different tools. It is ?learning by doing?, because that is at the core of Design Thinking
? Interactive and applying learning as you go
? Highly collaborative
? Relax and enjoy, it is a fun and an iterative experience
Claire Vincent is holding a myriad of senior positions (Bosch, thyssenkrupp).
She is founder of her own consultancy where her primary passion is to enable people to innovate and transform their ideas into successful business models. She is working pro bono for the NGO Enpact as mentor for young entrepreneurs.
