Beschreibung:

 Shalom!
This couse is in English and suits everyone who is interested in Jewish history and culture, or in the Middle East, who plans a visit there or simply wants to learn about a new script and language. Hebrew is written right-to-left and in most cases without vowels, as if the word “Berlin? were written as ?nlrb?.

On the other hand there is no distinction between small and capitalized letters. The aim of the course is also to enable you to conduct a simple conversation. We will learn the correct pronunciation as well as the first important words and phrases, and do practical exercises which will make you directly apply what you have learnt.

According to the Berlin Educational Leave Act [BiZeitG] in the version of 05.07.2021 (GVBl. p. 849). The course serves as a means of professional development in accordance with §10 paragraph 5. The course can also be attended by people who do not seek recognition of the educational seminar as a course for professional development in accordance to the law cided.

Schedule: 17.-20.02.2025, 10am-3pm (4 days)


Who is teaching?
Filip Busau is a graduate linguist (MA Semitic Studies, FU Berlin), non-fiction author and freelance foreign language teacher. He mainly teaches Hebrew and Finnish. During his studies, he conducted tutorials for Modern and Biblical Hebrew and taught Hebrew at the Humboldt University in Berlin.

You will need:
• a computer/laptop with internet access
